Education and Community Access Experience in this area includes: devising and implementing tours, study sessions and out reach programs for curriculum areas besides art eg. history, mathematics, literature, religious studies etc. incorporating other art forms such as drama and music in education programs encouraging new methods of presenting information developing education kits and material for multi media training education staff and voluntary guides initiating the National Gallery of Australia Youth Committee designing and implementing teacher in-services
Gallery Membership and Friends Program Mangement in this area include: dinners with guest speakers special viewings of exhibitions visitor surveys and event evaluation celebrity lectures an architecture and art tour of Rajasthan, India
Fundraising and Sponsorship My Programs benefit greatly from strong links with funding bodies and sponsors. Apart from injecting funds, these associations often demystify art and help breakdown stereo typical views of elitism. Sponsorship needs to be seen as intimately linked with the institutions product, namely its exhibitions, programs, staff, publications. An excellent understanding of art, scholarship, audience development and museum administration equip me with a strong base to secure funds for Public Programs.
