1996 'The Moenjodaro Journals'
The Moenjodaro Journals were made during 1996 when Sequeira participated in a project organised by the Pakistan government. Invited artists from around the world toured the Indus Valley. The artists were then asked to respond to the ruins of Moenjodaro (literally meaning mound of the dead) the foundations of which date from 2500BC. Sequeira made a series of seven books which responded to the physical nature of the site, the reconstruction of history and the absence of human life. Each book cover was painted in a different colour of the spectrum. The books were installed in various locations at and near the site including the museum and the Buddhist Stupa. Visitors to the site were encouraged to interact with the books.
